From A Phone Camera to a global lens
Our Story
In 2014, what started as casual snapshots on a phone quickly became the foundation of a global brand. A friend saw potential in Nonso Okoye’s mobile photography and simply said, “You should get a real camera.” That moment of encouragement sparked a creative journey — one that transformed a natural eye for detail into a professional calling.
Soon after, Nonso began training under one of Nigeria’s most respected photographers. Through that mentorship, he mastered the technical side of photography and discovered the deeper power of visual storytelling — how an image could hold emotion, memory, and movement all at once.
That philosophy gave rise to Nonso Okoye Photography — a brand built on the belief that every image should feel intentional, emotive, and timeless. From weddings to portraits, events to branded content, the work has touched lives across Nigeria and expanded to clients around the world.
In 2024, Nonso deepened his impact on the creative industry with the launch of Affinity Arts — a premier studio space located in Abuja, Nigeria. Built for photographers, podcasters, creators, and event planners, Affinity Arts provides a flexible, rentable environment for artists to bring their visions to life.
Today, what began with a camera phone has become a full-circle expression of purpose and artistry. At the heart of it all is a mission to go beyond visuals —
to capture moments, and curate emotion.
